Keeping up-to-date on Carl, Katrina, and the rest…
Well Carl just gave me the go ahead to post about our huge news! We are moving back to Pittsburgh! Carl got an excellent job at Google. They are opening a new office in Pittsburgh and Carl got a job. It is so exciting and such a wonderful oppertunity for us to move back. We will be living minutes from our parents. IT is going to be so different than anything we have known in our entire married life.
SOrry that I haven’t written for a bit. We have all been very ill. Last week I didn’t do very well I gained 1.8 pounds. This however did not surprise me. I had been very sick and had drank TONS and had chicken noodle soup. SO I believe that gain was from water. Anyway I was able to get back on track this week and I did much better tonight. I lost 4.6 POUNDS!! I was so happy. I probably only really lost about 2 but hay what ever I am still very far down! I have lost a grand total of 56.2 POUNDS! I can’t believe how much that is. It is more than both of my children put together. It is just amazing. This week I am going to try very hard to just survive. SO if I lose I will be very happy.
Alex is preparing for her CRCT testing. It’s a set of standard tests in GA to show skill levels and to pass the grade. She has been preparing by taking practice tests since early January. If you guys think of it, call her the last week of April to wish her luck. She’ll be taking the tests all day long for FOUR days - a lot even for her. I am one bitter momma. Nicky came home on Tuesday with a note written on his hand in ink “Mom, please check my folder.” I went through the roof. let me explain that for kindergarten, each kid has a choice card which is filled out each day with their behavior (stickers for good behavior, etc) and a folder to send in money, notes as well as to send things home. The last few days have been very long! The whole house is sick. Carl John first got sick about 2 weeks ago. Luckily we didn’t get it too. However on Saturday Carl Jacob started coughing a bit but nothing huge. Then Sunday night he started with a terrible cough. By Monday he was running a fever and a mess. Kat by that point had it too. She was runny and having terrible poops. Now Kat is getting better but little Carl is getting worse. I woke up with it this morning. I just hope we get better fast. I have so had enough of this.
I am so very proud of my little boy! Carl jacob is starting to talk. This past week he has finally started to mimic us. He is now trying to repeat everything that we say. It is wonderful. Sometimes he is better than others. Today after his nap he was sitting on my lap eating his snack and I asked him if that was good and he said that good! I was so excited. I was so proud I was just beaming. He also will tell me done spontaniously. This has all started since his early intervention. I don’t know what they taught us that has made such a difference but I am so happy that we have them. Carl is just thriving. I am so happy to see this. He is also playing so well with his friends. It is just so fun.
So this week I only did ok. I only went down 0.6 pounds. I do remember when I lost last time that it got very hard to lose near the end. And seeing as we are so close it is getting hard. I am having such a hard time staying focused. Now that I am close I am just so tired of dieting. I am actually getting hungry and I really don’t like it. I think alot of this is because I am so stressed and it is just getting harder. I have been doing so well contrilling it that now I am just wearing out a bit. But I fight the urge to eat out of emotion everyday and I am succeding. So my grand total is up to 53.4 pounds lost! I have lost more than both of my kids put together. I can’t believe it. This week I really want to work on being better on my program.
