Week 25

Sorry I am a bit behind this week. It has been crazy busy at our house. This week I did very well. I lose 2.2 pounds which bring me to only 0.2 above my prepgregnancy weight with Carl Jacob. When I told them about this at my meeting they said to go ahead and count it as being there!! I was so happy. It was my goal to get to my prepreggo weight with Carl my his birthday!! SO my grand total is now 51.4 POUNDS!!! I am just a bit excited about this. I am wwearing just about all of my old clothes. There are only 3 pants that I can’t fit into yet and they were the ones that I really wanted to get into. Honestly I wasn’t sure if my hips would ever get that small again but now I am thinking that they just might. It is so great to have so many more clothes to choose from. I am just loving it. We will just have to see how well I do tomorrow. I would love to lose another 2 pounds! I am only 12 pounds away from my goal!

Part of how they judge K students is by their ability to write.  Nicky started out the year at the level he’d need to finish Kindergarten.  He is now writing sentences on a topic with punctuation.  He’s at the mid-year level of a first grader.  GO BABY!!!  He also has excellent handwriting.  His one issue is that he needs to control talking. 

Of course my lil Diva has excellent grades.  She even received the highest grades possible in her FOCUS classes (GA version of SAL).  She attends FOCUS for two half days a week rather than stay in her class.  I am so proud of her.  She continually amazes me.  I think she will surpass me in a few years :)

Nicky’s Star Wishes

As part of a Kindergarten exercise, Nicky had to make a Star Wish tree.  He brought it home on Friday, and I am going to frame the thing.  It is so beautiful.  He made three wishes.  1.  I wish my mommy gets better.  2.  I wish my granma livs with me.  3. i want a pit fish.  He spells pretty well for a five year old.  When he presented it to me, he said “Mommy, you can tell just how much I am a momma’s boy.”  sigh.. tugs at the heart strings.

Last night, Alex took a shower in the hall bathroom.  She fell down and knocked down the shower bar and everything.  She wouldn’t move at all for about 10 minutes so I was terrified that something was really wrong.  Hal took her to the ER, and she doens’t have any breaks.  She’s limping around a bit because of the hit to her left knee.  Her back is a bit bruised up, but we have fortunately avoided a little girl on crutches.  THANK GOD!!!

Week 24

This week was another big week!! I am so excited I lost 3.6 pounds!! That takes my grand total up to 49.4 POUNDS LOST!!! I can’t believe it. At the rate that I am going getting down to my prepreggo weight by next week might actually happen. Next week is Carl Jacob’s 2nd birthday and I had really wanted to get to my prepregnancy weight with him by then. I have now moved to the next level down in my points. SO I now only get 24 points a day. Thank you God for Katrina’s nursing! I will say I am feeling so good. I have so much energy. I have so much fun running and playing with the children. It is so much fun. I just love it. I have been taking the children for lots of walks. Either walking at the mall or around the neighborhood. It is so fun. Little Carl loves playing outside. This week I am going to try to stay active and drink lots of water. It seems to really be working!

Our Busy Day!

Today started off pretty bad but ended great today. We started off going to play group. Carl Jacob had woken up in a mood and I knew it was going to be a rough day. So we were getting ready to go to playgroup. We got ourselves dressed and showered and fed and I had Kat in her carseat. And I was trying to find Carl Jacobs coat when I went to put it on him and he had taken egg yoke and smeared it ALL OVER MY ENTRY WAY!! I was so angry that I honestly didn’t know what I was going to do. I remember my mom telling me at a young age to get out of her sight because if she touched my she would kill me and today I understand the feeling! The boy had covered himself in egg yoke. I though I was going to just freak. So I took him and stripped him down to his diaper and put him in his crib. Which turned out to be a great punishment. I put him in his crib because that is what the pediatrician always told me about if you lose your temper and just can’t take anymore. This way they are safe and not around you and you can cool off. With my mom talking me down it worked like a charm. After about 20 mins I wasfeeling much better and I went and dressed Carl (he was all covered up in his blankets sucking his fingers when I got him, thank goodness I didn’t wait longer I think he would have fallen asleep.) Then we left for play group.

Week 23

This week was another good week. I lost 1.2 pounds. Nothing huge but right on track with what they want a nursing mother to lose. My thing that I was working on this week was drinking water. I actually did very well. I was very proud with myself. I also did alot of walking. I went to the mall several times this last week. It was so much fun. We walked around and I got to try on clothes and look at all the cute kids clothes. I will say it is so hard to not buy the childrens clothes. Next week when we go to the mal I think I will look at toys for Carl. His birthday is so close and I can’t wait to buy him stuff. I am just so excited.

The last few days have been very nice for March in New England and I have decided that this next week I am going to work on exersize. I really want to take the kids out more and do more walks and stuff. So hopefully I wil be able to do that and I will be doing much better. Oh my grand total is 45.6 pounds!! We are getting close.

What a Fun Day!

Today was very fun.  We spent the afternoon playing with our friends!  My friend  Jenn had her second baby yesterday and she was coming home from the hospital today.  So this afternoon Lindsey played at our house.  We really wanted to make it alot of fun for her so Kim and Kyle stopped over from after the Y.  Lindsey and Kyle take the Y class together so it was a kind of extention of their play.  It was so fun for the kids.  We fed them lunch and then we all went for a walk.  It was a nice day in New England in the early part of March so you have to take advantage of it.  We had so much fun.  Half way through our was we stopped at the tennis courts and just let the children run!  They really had fun.  I think they liked pushing around the strollers the best.  It was so fun.  We only came home because Carl’s fingers got very very cold.  When we got home Kim helped me get the kids inside and then I was able to get all three kids to sleep.  It was a very good day.

Week 22

Today I did very well! I lost 4.8 pounds!!! I can’t believe it. I am so proud of myself. This week I had really worked hard at drinking more water. It was hard but I have done pretty good. I also have taken the children several times to the mall to walk around. Much of that was so that I could get their pictures taken. That in and of itself is about the equivalent of a marathon! We got great exercise and we got out of the house on very cold days. So I really did do the two things that I really needed to improve on. Which is probably why I had such good results. I am definitely going to try to do the same again. I am just so happy. So I have now reached my second goal for myself. I have lost over 40 pounds so that was my second goal. My grand total lost is 44.4 pounds!!! My second goal is to reach my pre-pregnancy weight from Carl Jacob. That is now 7.2 pounds away!! I had wanted to reach this by Carl Jacob’s 2nd birthday but I don’t think that is practical. So I think I am just going to focus on having fun for Carl Jacob’s birthday. I already have a cake all planned that I will make him that he will love and I will be able to eat. I am just so happy.
