Keeping up-to-date on Carl, Katrina, and the rest…
I had to share this.. Nicky said something really cute the other night. We were joking, and I said, “Are you going to get big and not want to hug Mommy anymore?” He said, “I’ll always want to hug you, even when you’re dead.” Of course my eyes got really big then, and he said, “You want to know how I’ll do it? Well the trip down here normally takes somewhere between 10 and 12 hours. Wednesday it took us 14.5 hours!! It was a very long day but the children did wonderfully. We stopped every time that Katrina needed to eat so that she could help my mastitis get better. While I nursed we let CArl get out and run. It worked beautifully. The first place we stopped was a park and carl loved walking and playing for about 20 mins. By the time we got to my parents we were ready to be there. Hopefully it will be as nice going back. The day after Thanksgiving is when I decided to go and get weighed in. I figured that if I knew I was getting weighed the day after I wouldn’t go nuts on Thanksgiving. It worked very well. I lost 1.8 pounds this past week!!! I am so proud of me. I tried so hard to be good even while traveling and eating out. I actually haven’t gone over any day so far! I have really been trying hard. So my grand total lost is 18 POUNDS!! I am one pound away from my first 10% lost. I figure that if I stay good that I should be able to reach it next week. Especially if I start working out again when I get home. Hopefully the rest of the trip will go as smoothly. Read the rest of this entry »

Jerry came over the other night and we were playing around with the DirecTV music channels. They just moved them over to use XMRadio channels. (Note: I prefer Sirius because I own the stock

For the past few days I have been having some major nursing problems. I found out on Wednesday that I had a yeast infection on my nipples! OUCH!!! Little Katrina has it too. Well for the past 2 days it has been getting worse and worse, not better. I ended up going to the Dr’s. today because I hadn’t been able to pump or nurse for a day and I was in some serious pain. SO I was diagnosed with a yeast infection on my nipple and MASTITIS!! I am in so much pain. They did tell me that I HAVE to pump. It is the only way that I will get rid of the mastitis. So I have been trying so hard to pump, though it is very hard. They gave me some medications of both my yeast infection and my mastitis so I am hoping to feel relief soon.
The good thing is all the milk I pump out I can still give to Katrina! 
Which makes me very happy. She is still able to nurse on one side so at least she is pretty happy with that. Read the rest of this entry »

So it is the end of my 6th full week. After spending the weekend away eating anything and everything I only gained 0.4 pounds!!! I was so scared I would have gained 5. So i was very pleased to see this today. Now the really goal is to make it through Thanksgiving without gaining! Tonight at my meeting I learned that the average American gains 14 pounds during the holiday season. So I figure if I can lose weight I will be so proud of me! I think I will just take it week by week and do my best.
So I feel for my wonderful weekend away, 0.4 pounds is worth it! This makes my grand total 16.2 pounds lost! Read the rest of this entry »
